ResMed Opens R&D Technology Centre in Dublin

U.S.-based ResMed has opened a new technology R&D centre in the Sandyford Suburb of Dublin, Ireland. ResMed is a provider of cloud-connectable medical devices for the treatment of sleep apnea, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other chronic diseases.

The company plans to create 70 new software and technology jobs at the $30.5m facility by 2026 to support innovation and product development. These will include highly skilled, high-paying roles such as mobile and full-stack software developers, and algorithm/machine-learning engineers.

Chief executive officer Mick Farrell commented: “I’m thrilled to be in Dublin to officially open this state-of-the-art R&D facility. This investment will support the continued growth of ResMed’s product portfolio to meet the needs of patients across Ireland, Europe, and the world. It will also create new capabilities and skills within our expanding team in Ireland and support our global innovation strategy.”

The opening is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.
